the abstract submission deadline for our International Open Workshop “Socio-Environmental Dynamics over the last 12.000 Years: The Creation of
Landscapes IVâ€, taking place in Kiel on March 24-27, has been extended until January 29. I kindly ask you to spread this information within your
scientific community and to encourage researchers from your field to send us their abstract. More information is available on the workshop website:

In the context of the workshop, the Graduate School and the Johanna Mestorf Academy tender for the second time the Johanna Mestorf Award for
Socio-Environmental Research and Landscape Archaeology. This award for outstanding dissertations is open to young researchers of all scientific
fields. It is endowed with a prize of € 3.000. Nominations can be made by professors and supervisors within the GSHDL/JMA as well as by associated
national and international partners of the Graduate School. More information is available on the award website:
